Hi! I'm CJ Gilchrest. I'm a 23 year old Software Engineer who specializes in Systems programming, with a Masters degree in Interactive Entertainment and a Bachelors in Computer Science. Larger Team Projects
Punk Rock Exorcist is an in-progress 3rd person action rhythm game made in Unreal Engine that I developed as a part of my masters program capstone thesis. It was made by a multidisciplinary team of 18 across 9 months.
UCF Virtual Campus is a prototype for a mobile social MMO where the map is a recreation of the University of Central Florida main campus. It was made in Unity across 4 months on a multi-disciplinary team of 8.
Super Auto Pets is a 2D auto-battler for the PC. It was a recreation of the original game in our custom content-driven C++ game engine, made by a team of 6 across 1 month.
Smaller Personal Projects
Puyo Puyo is a 2D block based puzzle game that was released for the Sega Genesis. I made a recreation of Puyo Puyo in 68k Assembly using the Easy68k simulator as a solo developer across 1 month.
Bubble Bobble is a puzzle platformer released for the NES. I made a recreation of Bubble Bobble using C and OpenGL as a solo developer across 1 month.
Eric's Balloon Adventure is a short FMV Comedy Adventure game that was made for the 2025 FIEA Game Jam. It was made in Unity across 48 hours by a team of 4 programmers.Â
